AIIMS Entrance Examination: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is most prestigious and pioneer institute for medical education in India. AIIMS has 50 seats for MBBS for which it conducts entrance exam in the month of June every year.
NEET (AIPMT)/AFMC: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by CBSE for MBBS and Dental courses every year in month of May. Score of this entrance exam is valid for various national level institutes. Some legal hassles have propped up this year due to the Supreme Court judgment but government has assured that road blocks would be timely cleared through legislative interventions to make it free form hindrances to organize exam smoothly this year itself. Armed Forces Medical College ( AFMC) had agreed to a limited extent to accept the scores of NEET for admission to it’s prestigious armed forces medical college with some additional descriptive tests designed to test essential traits required for armed core doctors. An inclusive merit list is prepared through NEET with two ranks for every successful student i.e. national and state. Two segments of ranks under NEET are declared for two different purposes, national level merit holders have 15% seats, meant for them irrespective of their state domicile. Rest of 85% seats is allocated to the state level merit holders.
BHU All India PMT (BHU-PMT) BHU is renowned seat of medical education ,it organizes entrance tests for MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B. pharma regularly in the month of June every year. Total number of seats for MBBS is 84 , BDS 38 and B.Pharma 33.
Delhi University Pre-Medical Test (DPMT): Delhi University conducts this prestigious exam every year for affiliated colleges of the university for MBBS and BDS course.
Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) : is very popular among students Gujarat . It is state level test conducted by state education board, government of Gujarat. Seats are reserved for domiciles of Gujarat and students of other states appearing in final exams from the state of Gujarat.
CMC. Vellore Common Entrance Test: Christian Medical College, Vellore is affiliated to Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. It has opening for 60 fresh intakes every year for which entrance test is conducted in the month of May every year.
JIPMER Entrance Exam : Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research, Puduchery (Pondicherry ) organize this entrance examination for admission to MBBS course. Having reputation for quality medical education it attracts huge number of students.
Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) : is conducted normally in month of May by the Punjab government for admission to the various courses offered by the medical and dental colleges of the state. It has good reputation and popularity in northern part of the country.
